This is my first time visiting. I absolutely loved it. The service was amazing. The atmosphere was very warm and cozy and had a diner feel. We were greeted in a manner that would suggest that we have been long-term friends. I can’t say enough nice things about the staff. The food was great. We ordered French toast and a frittata and a hamburger. The portions are large. The prices are extremely reasonable. I will definitely go back when I’m in the area.
First off just let me start by saying the service was top notch! They greeted us and was nice and patient. The food came out pretty quickly. My fiance had a delicious, nice and thick Belgium waffle! I had a Denver egg scramble that had diced ham, spring onions and cream cheese mixed it! It was heavenly good! We definitely will be returning in the future!
One of my FAVORITE breakfast places! I absolutely LOVE Ms. Pat our waitress. She makes us put our phones down and enjoy each other's conversation. The owner knows us by name. We always feel like we are at home when we are there.
Big shout out to the... Silver Spoon Diner at 5230 N. Roxboro road, Durham. I had forgotten how good the food is!!! So good that normally I eat 1 egg and cheese biscuit at home but here I ate a , 5-egg omelette with toast and home fries with a side of a huge pancake!!!! I ate every single bit!!! Can't believe it but I did. The place is super clean, the staff is extremely friendly, and the service was fast even though they had a table of roughly 22 ladies also eating and the restaurant was full. Love this place and will be coming back more often!!!
Let me tell you something, this is my #1 place to recommend. Delicious breakfast and nice waitresses. The food is very filling, you won't walk out of there hungry. I always get chocolate pancakes with bacon and sausage and it hasn't been overdone not once. I usually also get sweet tea and they give you a pitcher of it to refill, plus the tea is actually sweet! Most places can't even get that right! I recommend this place for a nice hardy breakfast and nice service
Can't say enough good things about Silver Spoon. Worth the drive from anywhere, anytime...wonderful, warm, family atmosphere, generous portions, friendly and attentive service, and everything on the breakfast menu is PERFECT every time. Also highly recommend the homemade baklava!
AKA, Platinum Spoon Restaurant. The food is delicious and the service is next level. Our table never had to ask for anything which after a long Halloween night was impressive. Somehow they have mastered portions, even down the carafe of sweet tea. My only regret is that I ordered baklava to go and shared it with my friends, they should have bought their own.
